Terms of Service
These terms govern access to Cortex by organizations, individual users acting on behalf of an organization, and API consumers using organization-issued credentials.
Effective March 23, 2026
Service Scope
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Cortex service provided by the operator of this Cortex deployment. Cortex is an intelligence and workflow platform that lets organizations connect information sources, define feeds, generate digests, and access related APIs and automation features.
By accessing or using Cortex, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, if you are using Cortex for an organization, on behalf of that organization. If you do not have authority to bind your organization, do not use the service for that organization.
Accounts and Organizations
Cortex uses organization-scoped workspaces. Each workspace is controlled by one or more organization administrators who are responsible for inviting users, managing permissions, and controlling connected credentials and integrations.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and any API credentials issued for your organization.
- You must provide accurate registration, billing, and workspace information and keep it reasonably up to date.
- Organization administrators are responsible for activity performed through their workspace by invited members, issued API credentials, and configured integrations.
Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation
Certain Cortex features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are organization-scoped. Pricing, plan limits, and included features may vary by plan and may be updated prospectively.
Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly basis. If you cancel a paid plan, access to paid features generally continues through the end of the then-current billing period and then reverts to the applicable free or lower-tier experience.
Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise by the operator of this deployment, fees are non-refundable after a billing period begins.
Customer Data and External Sources
You retain responsibility for the data, source URLs, uploaded materials, prompts, credentials, and other content you or your organization submit to Cortex. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to collect, process, and use that content with the service.
- Do not connect sources or submit content that violates law, contract, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or platform terms that apply to the underlying data source.
- You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them for legal, compliance, medical, financial, or other high-stakes decisions.
- Cortex may remove or disable content or integrations that create security, legal, or abuse risk.
API and Automation Use
Cortex may provide API endpoints, workflow triggers, and issued credentials for programmatic access. API access is subject to the same organization scope and role restrictions that apply in the interactive product.
- Do not share API credentials outside the organization they were issued for.
- Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, authorization checks, tenant boundaries, or other technical safeguards.
- Do not use Cortex to interfere with the service, other users, or third-party systems.
AI and Automated Processing
Cortex uses automated systems, including model-driven processing, to extract content, classify material, summarize source data, and generate outputs. These systems may produce incomplete, incorrect, or outdated results.
By using Cortex, you authorize the service to process submitted and connected content as needed to operate the product, including through carefully selected infrastructure, model, hosting, storage, and authentication providers.
Availability, Suspension, and Termination
Cortex is provided on an evolving basis. The operator of this deployment may change features, impose plan or usage limits, suspend abusive or risky activity, or discontinue portions of the service with reasonable business discretion.
The operator may suspend or terminate access if your use creates security risk, violates these terms, causes payment issues, or exposes the operator or other users to liability.
Disclaimers and Liability Limits
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cortex is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of this deployment will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages arising from or related to Cortex, even if advised of the possibility of those damages.
Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Updated terms become effective when posted on this page unless a later effective date is stated. Continued use of Cortex after an update becomes effective means you accept the revised terms.
If you need contractual terms beyond these online terms, including a negotiated services agreement or data processing addendum, contact the operator of this Cortex deployment before using the service for regulated or high-risk workloads.
